Solarpunk Aesthetics
Solarpunk is a vibrant and innovative movement, embracing various forms of aesthetics. Images are mostly characterized by bright colors, organic shapes, and a blending of natural and artificial elements. Others incorporated spiritual or fairy tale elements, or connected to Pre-Raphaelite, Liberty, Art Nouveau etc. styles and movements from the past, when harmony between nature and mankind was sought for before. For this website, however, we decided to work with AI generated pictures as we strongly believe in their boundless degrees of freedom for “casting” unlimited imagery. Fed by our prompts, the associated AI tools create fantastic future sceneries and settings, within a few seconds. Since all AIs and their results are based on probabilities, and one-to-one copying of existing works of art is prohibited, especially for legal reasons, the variety of images produced at the end of the day is always a surprise and a lot of fun to see.
Whether some pictures are discarded, or refined by additional prompts, or just come out right first-off: there is undoubtedly an “eerie” imminence of creativity associated with AI based imagery.
